Every article on this site belongs to the person who wrote it. Publishing here does not transfer your copyright to us, and it never will. You are giving us permission to publish your piece on Waterlog.au, to edit it for length, clarity and house style, and to promote it — with your byline on it.

You keep the right to republish your own work elsewhere. We would appreciate a line noting it appeared here first, but that is a courtesy, not a condition. If you want a piece taken down, ask us and we will take it down.

Photographs belong to whoever took them. Where an image carries a credit, the copyright sits with the person or organisation named — approach them directly if you want to reuse it, not us.

Facts are not copyright. Where a swim spot is, when an event runs, what the water temperature was — none of that belongs to us or to anyone else.
